List of RLSH on Wikipedia

List of RLSH is on wikipedia. Looks like it needs to be added to.

Would be cooler if we could create a new more updated and more modern registry site, adding a social network and more.

But creating such a site will take lots and lots of time, and afterwards require even more time to keep it updated.

Yes. I don't like the way that page was done and tried to fix it many times but someone keeps ruining it.

As far as a social network for this community, I think the forum works best for that. As far as a new social network to replace Facebook and be easier to use like MySpace, that would be cool. There used to be a Ning website which had a social network just like MySpace, but for the RLSH Community. It actually looked really awesome. But, it was very short lived.

I think that myself, Zimmer and Superhero among others have accridetion to fix that. How would you complete that list? It doesn't always take what we give it, but we can try. I have my password on file somewhere and I've deliberately tried not to fix overlookings or mistakes about myself.

Editing Wikipedia pages is soooo un-user-friendly it's ridiculous. I've tried to edit pages on it before and wanted to break my keyboard over my knee lol.

I agree with Aftershock. It's so corrupted about how they decide things. Too many wrong people have a say on things, and not enough right people.

So is the Superhero Registration site still up and kickin'? Is there a site that lists the majority of RLSH out there? AND should we have one?

I was talking to Tothian about this the other week... it would be really nice if ShowStopper could get the map of members on this site to work, but I realize that could be a fairly involved piece of coding.

Another viable option might be having a second listing by area, instead of by name. So there would be a list by country, then state. When you click on the state, a list of people in that state shows up.

I think that would be easier to code, and perhaps members could be given 'write' permission to add/update their own data. (That way admins wouldn't have to keep updating info all the time.)

It might even be possible for the system to send update requests (via email) to accounts inactive for say, 2 years. If no reply was received within 90 days, the entry could be removed automatically, to keep things current.

The World Superhero Registry you mean? I remember they added me to the part of it where it has an RLSH's name and picture and other stuff about them. I was debating with Kevlex about it a while back, since he would take several months to reply to emails, because he was busy telling reporters about it. I did think he should've focused more on fixing the site first. We were disagreeing about the titles that should be used. I prefer to use the title Warrior. His titles included Public Service, Crime Fighter, Social Activist, stuff like that. Eventually we agreed upon Knight Errant - just for that website, but that was something he came up with.

Then the rest of the listing, he just copied and pasted from what I did with the old Heroes Network website from 2007. I updated it on a semi-daily basis with every new RLSH that joined the community - both on MySpace AND on the Heroes Network forum. I updated it everytime someone changed their name, and even when they got a new email or made a new myspace. And even eventually started adding YouTubes also. Kevlex eventually copied that and added it to his page. At first I thought it was a lame thing to copy my idea, but then again, it was good to have a backup. I had put on the top the date of when it was changed, every time I changed it. I forget if he did that too.

It isn't too bad of an idea. It makes it easy for anyone to find who they want to find in this community to contact them. It was in alphabetical order.

There used to be a Frappr Map back in 2007. It was like a social network, but mainly focused on a map. We had 3 pins for RLSH's who added themselves to the HN Frappr Map. I'm not sure if there's a newer version of it be it on Google Maps or something else or how an idea like that could or would work. But it's a good idea.

Ah okay cool. But yes, is it still up and running?

i had people completely sabotage mine.Symbiote was able to fix most of it but there are wrong facts on it.

The World Superhero Registry? I'm not sure. I haven't checked. If it is, it's very outdated and some slightly inaccurate information. As for the old Heroes Network Listing? I don't think so. But we're working on a newer one.

Wikipedia can tend to do that, since anyone can edit it. So I can see how it would be easy for the info to be wrong.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. lol.

We want to make it better.

I tried to search google for some keywords. I haven't found anything yet but I'll keep checking and let you know if I find anything.

In the mean time, I know that it shouldn't be too hard to remember what you wrote several times. It'll all come back to you soon anyway.

The only problem is that the community grew even more since you wrote it. Lots more came and left since then.
