| No that's not why God allows horrible things, it's because to God we are like computer game characters in a computer game world like Sim Earth and he doesn't think we are real. It's like how someone doesn't worry if there is an earthquake in their Sim City game and thousands of Sims die, because to a human Sim People in a computer game aren't real. God doesn't believe we feel pain, he thinks we are just fake people. | |

| Haha, I don't even think there is a god. I'd like to have the faith to believe in an all powerful all knowing entity, but I just can't. And since I wanna make this a quote "Knowledge is the true enemy of Faith" forget who said. But the more you know the less and less likely the absurd seems to be. But, i could be wrong. Currently I just think everything is chemical and biological ad cosmological clockwork. There's only three main laws of physics, their gravity, and electromagnetism and the weak force and the strong force and that's it; with just a few simple rules everything works together like a clock. It'd take too long to rreally get into the topic of all the reasons why I don't elieve in god but there's a lot more evidence that points to there not being a divine supernatural being with a personal interest in my life than there is to support the notion.
I believe the Bible is an ancient political document designed to intimidate and control the primitive people of that time and has little place for civilized human beings in the 21st century. It's the world greatest story book, but that's all it really is to me; a story book.
And if God is real; I'm with you; I think he's a mathmatician and a computer program and isn't working alone; he and his other comrades are busily working in a laboratory for the second semester of the new school year; we're just a class project. XD
And the computer simulation theory can be a little backed up. After all what do you do when you want to know if what you're looking at is a simulation? Zoom in. You see tiny pixels put together to form a bigger picture. Exactly what you'll see if you zoom in asmuch as you can in real life, tiny tiny pixels called nuetrinos. They smashed a couple of these together and all it did was make smaller pieces of neutrinos; some believe these are the final and smallest building blocks of life. Pixels of life. |

| But, i don't believe he'd be ob;ivious to our suffering. After all, he's one of the guys who helped write the pieces of code and so he should know that there's a Suffering piece of code written into our program. In all likelyhood, god and his lab partners are doing an experiment to see when their own universe will or ever come to an end by building a simulation universe and speeding it up, and so in gods universe time (which is relative) is moving much much slower than here, so they can see the future of their own destinies; through us. |

| "No man knows the day or the hour." (He told us this because they don't know when this simulation will or ever come to an end XD) Note, I don't believe any of this, it's just fascinating for me to think about. |

| In my mind, that's the only way any entity could be considered "all knowing and all powerful"; is ifthis is all a computer game. Because in a video game, you control the world. You know just what buttons to press to do whatever you want, and you can do anything if you have the line of code. |

| That's what I meant. If god is real he's a computer programmer working with scientists. I sincerely doubt he came up with it all on his own.
But, then science gets in the way again. I recently have been watching Beyond the Wormhole on science channel with morgan freeman, it's a fascinating program. When I reflect on everything science has to offer, what we now know of the universes, (that's right, plural; they found out the universe is a living organism and has an ancestry and produces offspring) and then I consider us....Humans. On this rock flying through space, and many of us say we know how it all began: By a divine magical being who supposedly created the earth in seven days. Well....I just think it's a little laughable; how can we possibly think we are right, when there is so so so so much we aren't even close to understanding, we can't say we know how it all began, or if there even was a beginning, or what the end will be like if ever or what happens when we die. It's like people who don't think there is any other life in the universe except us; it's the height of arrogance, to assume we have the answers.
I personally think it's a cosmic crap shoot, a lucky roll of the dice. In a universe a few centermeters awa from ours, hyrodgen may not have come into existence yet which would mean everything would cease to exist; a very dull universe. In another one, additional laws of physics completely obscure that universe in ways we can't even imagine or picture in our head. Our universe just turned out the way it did and it's pretty lucky we're alive. Unfortunately, it won't last long. Life is a rare and fairly overrated phenmenon, happening in the wink of an eye on a cosmic perspective. Human beings have been around for how many years? How long do you think it is before we finally have the power to finish killing each other off? Or even our planet finally get too close to the sun and explode like krypton? The number of years sounds big, but compare it to the entire time the universe and the ones before it combined. It's barely noticeable. Tha tiny blip is the entirety of human existence. Knowledge and facts say, we are really not that important. When this rock falls apart the universe probably won't even notice. But, who really knows? We could go on about it forever....oh wait, that's exactly what mankind has already doing haha; I bet they thought this would all be sorted out by the twenty firs century. XD |

| The thing is I believe in myths and I like myths and think they can be good to believe in even if they are not literally true. So I believe Jehovah created the world in seven days and that it's like a computer simulation not because of evidence but because I just think its a good thing to believe regardless of whether it's actually true or not. | |
