Third Prominent Banker Found Dead in 6 Days

Bloomberg is reporting this morning that former Federal Reserve economist Mike Dueker was found dead in an apparent suicide near Tacoma, Washington.
Dueker, 50, a chief economist at Russell Investments, had been missing since Jan. 29 and was reportedly having troubles at work.

Normally HousingWire wouldn’t cover deaths in the industry, but what’s strange is that Dueker is the third prominent banker found dead since Sunday.

On Sunday, William Broeksmit, 58, former senior manager for Deutsche Bank, was found hanging in his home, also an apparent suicide.

On Tuesday, Gabriel Magee, 39, vice president at JPMorgan Chase & Co’s (JPM) London headquarters, apparently jumped to his death from a building in the Canary Wharf area.

That's odd. I do wonder though if the first set off a chain reaction among the others.

Any information on the mental health of the deceased prior to their deaths? Diagnosis if any?

If it turns out all three had a squeeky clean mental health record we could have more leeway room to cast out suicide. Definitely sounds odd; three prominent bankers killing themselves in the same week....little bit too big of a coincidence.

The professional job of a banker you mean? I'm not sure. We'll have to see if we can find out, or, if any more news comes out about this.

I meant more like a hitman. They were all made out to look like accidents. Wonder how many enemies they had, what kind.

If I were going to kill someone that's what I'd do, make it look like a suicide or an accident. Headlock and drop them to the floor, snapping their neck right before throwing their body down a set of stairs; poor fella slipped, and had a nasty fall. Bash someones head against the wall and give them a shove in a bathroom before spilling water all over the floor and removing the victims shows, preferaly I woul;d wait until they were just getting out of the shower. Sounds like if it's murder then the guy knew what he was doing and was likely being paid to do it should it turn out the bankers had no one in particular gunning for them.

I have a very uncomfortable feeling that these "suicides" from these people mean something that the general public isn't meant to know. They found out and are being silenced or they can't bear the real truth and are ending themselves.

Keep your eyes on the news and watch your 6, something doesn't feel right.
