Teaming up with "enemies" to fight evil

View previous topic View next topic Go down

Is there anyone you wouldn't team up with to defeat a bad-guy who was going to destroy the earth?
Yup! I'll align with anyone, especially an RLSH who has a hidey-hole or somewhere to re-group.

Maybe. We'll see if the value of the Earth equals them blasting holes into it for me to keep my vendettas going because they're important to me and forgiveness is not.I'm from New Jersey for Chrissake. We don't forgive people, we put them in the river

No. I cannot work with just anyone in that circumstance. I have my principals.

I just saw "Aliens Versus Cowboys" on Netflix.

Being a cowboy at heart, I loved it.

I also loved how enemies became friends against a common cause. Against a common threat.

Geeze, big bad aliens come to our Earth to slaughter us all, would you align with people who you have proclaimed as your enemies or something like that?

If you have a safe place where we can re-group, I'm there. Same said here. We have a good basement, NOT re-furbished, but there's a couch and a work-out bench and punching bag. Have at it, Brother or Sister in an emergency.

I think I'd have to go with the 1st option.

I would think that the threat of the entire world coming to an end would drive everyone to want to work together, no matter what petty differences that they might have had in the past, as a matter of survival. I mean, if you and your enemy were trapped in a crate in a lake, and it was slowly running out of air, and the only way you would survive was by working together, what would you do, honestly? There's no real way to tell unless you were in that situation, but from what I can gather, the natural survival instincts would kick in, and you'd both do what you had to.

(The same thing had happened in an episode of "The Batman", where Batman and the Riddler were both trapped in a crate in Gotham Bay, trapped under some debris, and the only way they could live, was by working together to free the crate.)

There are different things to take in to consideration here. The people I consider enemies are the ones who want to destroy the earth, in one way or another.

At the same time, sometimes it does take a common enemy to get people to unite.

Ronald Reagan had made a quote somewhere, thinking that if aliens ever attacked this world, that all the countries would unite and be on the same side.

I think that Ill bring in the Aliens that Janet Rippley fought into this and have them invade earth Here would be a good senerio

Tothian is on one side of the street Zimmer on the other Both see the big thing with the jaws on the end of the tounge and they both manage to help each other escape Then Superhero loads up his cad with explosives and Master Legend does the same with his bike inside the Justice Van

The Alien runs towards a school and tries to attack a small child but Polarman chops the toung off with his shovel while pushing the child out of the danger and telling him to pull the fire alarm and get the hell out of here The acid from the alien starts to eat the shovel so Polarman gouges the beast in the eyes then runs for it just as the Heromachine and the Justice van roar past him causing the alien to blow up

Meanwhile Showstopper and Janet Rippley find a nest full of eggs containing facehuggers over at the rec center They call in the police bomb squad to destroy the eggs just as one of them begins to hatch Red Vision grabs the thing by the tail and swings it over his head and lets it fly into an outdoor swimming pool where it struggles to swim but soon drowns so soon They get every RLSH to locate all the eggs and toss them into the pool to drown the things while they hatch

Meanwhile The queen bitch is hidding in the basement of the rec center and she is really pissed that everyone is destroying her babies so Amazonia and Tothian with Lady hero call an evac on the center and the school while Polarman and Live bring back a pair of transport trucks loaded with gas and they both drive full speed towards the school and rec center They both florr it down then dump bricks onto the gas peddles and lock the steering controls and jump clear and both trucks hit the buildings and blow up the queen and all the remaining eggs Just as a facehugger escapes Polarman grabs another shovel and just as the facehugger jumps towards a swat member Polarman swings the shovel and bats the facehugger back into the flames After that Zimmer Superhero Tothian Master Legend Lady Hero Amazonia Polarman and everyone else helps deal with anyone who was injured by the creatures Janet Rippley however shoots anyone who is carrying an alien inside them

More realisticlly There would be another ice storm like they had in NYC and NJ last halloween at the Superheroes Anonymous events Zimmer lives near by so he goes to get some blankets from his place while Tothian and Showstopper steal blankets from the hotel room They bring the blankets down to the events where a group of kids are huddled trying to stay warm Superhero and Lady Hero head insie and start throwing stuff into a large pot to make soup while Thanatos and Zed Wolf make sandwiches and Polarman and Supernova get to work with the shoveling out all the doors around the buildings where people will be staying

When both Zimmer and Tothian start to get cold from the freezing rain Polarman gets them inside and has them get under a blanket while Lady Hero and Show stopper dry out their clothes Later that night the freezing rain turns to snow and forms a small blizzard however Polarman just laughs it off saying that this is nothing compared to what he is used to calling a blizzard and to prove it he goes out side in only a t shirt and mask and gets a hand ful of snow poured down inside the back of his shirt He then calls the kids out to build a snow man and a snow fort which he uses the shovel to dig out the entrance Geist and the Roseth Family also come out to watch the fun while Powerboy puts on his costume with a bright red coat hanging over it and throws a snowball at his brothers and sisters Soon everyone is throwing snowballs including Polarman who is teamed up with Geist and Power boy Armed with shovel loads of snow flying through the air Amazonia and Showstopper come out to fetch everyone for supper and they go inside to see the surprise that Zimmer Polarman and Tothian had worked on together Turns out that everyone loved the Gingerbread Pizzas with Hot Cider apple soup and for desert Chocolate coated dill pickles baked into a pineapple pie with cherries on top

That last one was based on 2 true events combined

Last fall durring the snowstorm at Superheroes Anonymous in NYC and several years ago when Ontario and the eastern coast was hit by an ice storm I think was back in 95 or so and the blizzard that hit Iqaluit christmas of 97 that dumped so much snow that people were jumping from the windows of the High rise more than 5 floors up

Yeah, but also in the online world, I've heard Polarman's words speaking across the forums. And I've gotta say, he's a pretty cool (pun not intended, but recognized) guy with a whole lot of wisdom to teach us.

Ironically, he's against the polarization (pun known and again not intended.) of the communities, as am I.

I think Polarman was one of the first RLSHs I heard of and wondered, "WTF? You shovel drive-ways and side-walks? And that's what an RLSH can do?"

I once offered to do that for an old lady and I think she was scared of me.

-Although, in Minnesota, I truly do have an appreciation for that. Some of the southerners might not understand.

It's been really nice getting to know Polarman more!
