This cop is doing it right.
Good lesson there for the RLSH too.

A model for us all, law enforcement or not.
Twenty years... 25,000 traffic stops... zero complaints.
Treat people you meet like people, not suspects. That and a smile wins the day... or in this case, two decades. Kudos.

I want to be fair and look at this 2 ways.
In one sense, he was being friendly and showing a friendly attitude.
In another sense, I don't agree with the status quo thing where they have to give out tickets. Some places like it if they give out 30 tickets a month. People driving dangerously isn't good neither.
Places like - I think it was Montana - that either eliminated or raised the speed limit - showed much fewer accidents. Same line of thinking with the gun control debate. Restrictions only help those who won't follow it. And if people thought everyone was allowed to drive fast and could get away with it, then they themselves would be more afraid to drive fast.
Nonetheless, thank you for sharing this, C. It's still encouraging to see good people in the world.

Oh wow... That was pretty cool. Nice to see some law officers out there with a smile and a pleasant demeanor!
