I would like to start a section here in the General Topics where we discuss what we as RLSH should do in regards to the local authorities while on patrol in our community.

Any thoughts or ideas about proper procedure and protocol with: RESPONDING To Police, AVOIDING Police, REPLYING & ANSWERING QUESTIONS during a Pull-Over / Interrogation. Etc etc. PLEASE POST HERE!!! Thank you.

~*ALSO FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS ANY ENCOUNTERS YOU'VE HAD WHILE ON PATROL IN YOUR SUIT WITH THE POLICE*~

I've never interacted with police in my outfit before, but I have interacted with Military Personel. They thought it was pretty cool, asked me about why I was dressed like this. I explained to them about the RLSH and what I do as a superhero, they thought it was super cool.

I've seen law enforcement squad cars go by and occasionally they give me the finger wave and I wave back. Every fire engine honks their big horn at me because we've worked on fires together in both Delta and Fairbanks and so they already know me because I'm a firefighter as a civilian. The guys at work have a lot of fun with it, sometimes give me a hard time about it but it's just how we act at work. They're my friends and I know they really like me. I have a knack for rubbing off on people.

Stay true. Stay free. Stay safe.

Thanks Hero Man, that's actually a pretty decent link. I'd like the comments but there's no LIKE button lol. I wonder if the DVD can be bought in Ontario's HMV or Walmart etc....?

With me they are easy going
If they want or need my help
They can ask for it and I am glad
To help look for a missing child or
Keep an eye out for the guy who
Broke out of jail or if someone
Is threating to harm people I find
Him and I call the police and report
My findings

I've found more recently that calling into the local police dispatch and informing them of your intentions, name, location, and time of activity etc will ease their tension and you'll get a more pleasant response when approached by cruisers/police. They haven't even asked for any of my team's ID's or asked to search us or our backpacks etc since I've been doing this. It's amazing. I feel like we're actually working together now instead of opposing teams fighting the same cause.

Why do that if you don't have to?
