PostSubject: Memorial Day   Mon May 27, 2013 2:45 pm

Hello every one as I am sure all of you know today is Memorial Day so today is a to remember a those in the armed forces who have served, fought and died for our country. So today if you know or even just see a veteran thank them for their service to this country.

Here is a bit of the history behind Memorial Day
Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate Union soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end.

So to all those who have served or are now active members of the armed forces THANK YOU
